David P. from Alta Pest Control provided outstanding service during his visit. He was highly professional, arriving on time and thoroughly explaining the entire process before starting the job. David's attention to detail and dedication to ensuring everything was handled efficiently stood out. He was polite, respectful of our space, and made sure all our concerns were addressed. I haven't used this company but I am writing a review for their company based on a driver's actions this morning. They have reckless drivers out on the road. At 7:05 am today, heading west on K-10 about a mile before K-7, one of their drivers (KS License plate 3233AFA) was sitting in the left lane and brake checked me for no reason. They were going about 80 mph, and they even have a bumper sticker that their GPS monitors the vehicle's speed. Evidently not. I was not on the guys bumper. Instead of getting over to simply let me pass, they decide to do a brake check (which is illegal, mind you). He had space to be in the right lane since they got off on K-7 anyway, so the brake check was 100% unwarranted. If these are the types of people working at this company, I wouldn't recommend them.

Do not use Alta Pest Control! In mid July 2023, a salesman representing himself as a manager approached me and my neighbors offering a special deal on a 12 month pest control package if we signed up that day. He assured us that they would provide services every 30 days. However, Alta pest control has consistently failed to honor their contractual obligations. Although I am paying for monthly service, I have often experience delays of over 45 days between visits. When technicians do arrive, they frequently perform only a brief in adequate treatment, leaving wasp, nests, spiderwebs, and other pests unaddressed.
Moreover, the chemicals being used have proven and ineffective. Despite my attempts to resolve these issues, including several missed appointments, the company has not fulfilled its commitment. The salesman warned me of a $1200 cancellation fee if I opted out of the contract within the first 12 months. Fast-forward to October 2024, when I attempted to cancel the service to avoid this exorbitant fee, I received no confirmation from the company. After following up, a discourteous customer service representative informed me that I was bound to an 18-month contract and would incur an additional $500 cancellation fee.
I feel trapped in this agreement with a company that not only fails to provide the promised services, but also misrepresents the terms of their contracts. Their tactics seem designed to make it financially burdensome to exit the agreement. Ultimately, I wish to terminate my relationship with Alta pest control, and no longer wish to engage with this dishonest organization.
Update: complaint has been filed to the BBB.

My tech Chad did an amazing job of securing all the open spaces around my house and even in the attic. I didn’t even know he was there. He worked so seamlessly quietly and professionally.
